‘I agree’ is a phrase used to express when someone shares the same perspective on a particular subject as another person. To agree with God, we must align our perspective and thoughts to His.

Isaiah 55:8-9

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.   “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.”

The average person has several thousand thoughts each day. Since God’s thoughts and ways are higher than ours, it is up to us to agree or align with Him. An agreement can be shown through words, conduct, or even in silence. Just because we are presented with a thought doesn’t mean we agree with it; it simply means that we are presented with an opportunity for agreement.

These agreements shape the course of our lives because we empower that which we agree with! Spiritual forces (good or evil) are empowered by human agreement. For whatever reason, God created a world where our agreement with His perspective and what He says is necessary to release His power and will into the earth.

We must understand that the enemy doesn’t defeat us; it is our agreement with him and his lies. The enemy knows that when we agree with God and His Truth, he has no power in a situation. But the enemy also knows if we agree with him or his lies, then he can gain access to that situation.

Agreement with God and what He says (Truth) sets the stage for us to become all that God designed us to be and experience heaven on earth.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons
of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy
arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought
captive to obey Christ

Prayer:

Ask: God, where have I agreed with the enemy or his lies?
Write down whatever comes to your mind.
Tell God the truth about agreeing with the enemy.
Ask: God, what are Your thoughts and perspective in this situation?
Align your perspective with God’s and agree with Him.
Speak it out loud.

The greatest prophet in your life is you. This is a lifelong process of renewing your mind to God’s perspective. Visualize what it would look like when you consistently align your thoughts with God and agree with Him.
